I would have to know if the "lower technology" components were key to JDSU's bottom line and if so to what extent. I'd also have to know if the Asian competitor's are supplying JDSU's key customers or if they're gleaning business on the onesy-twosey end. Furthermore I'd want to know what sort of packaging and/or modules are involved. Have these "low tech" components been integrated or are they stand-alone?

SDLI does not supply low-end components or modules, and I honestly don't know how big a part of JDSU's business they are.

JDSU's latest packaging designs are so superior to those previously used, they're now back-ordered up to 12 months. I seriously doubt anyone can compete on quality. Just the same, I'd like to hear from those who understand the low-end market better.

Incidentally, Herb Greenberg has about as much credibility as Bob Posani when it comes to investigative reporting. Both graduated summa cum laude from the University of MySourcesSay.

Herb is a solid guy.He gets you scoops way ahead of the wall street herd.

You ignore him at your own peril.

I reiterate competition will flourish galore.
