djia101362,

Since when have sell side analysts really given honest opinions with their conflict of interest stemming from the investment banking divisions of their brokerage firms? You've heard of the Chinese Wall, right? With so much money at stake, the Chinese Wall is really just a two foot high chain-linked fence at best.

The good news today: not much selling. The bad news: not much buying either. This is hardly the capitulatory effort seem with most market bottoms.

With respect to Voltaire's call of a psychological rally tomorrow afternoon, Voltaire has been very good with his short term market calls. My only contention is that any bounces here will be transient in nature. The same will hold true for the relief rally associated with the election fiasco. Fundamentally speaking, this market really doesn't look very appealing. I still believe the worst of earning's expectations are still ahead.

The bulls' case relies on Uncle Al cutting interest rates and injecting liquidity into the market.

Regards,
