Albert, <take a ratio of earnings and market caps - you do have basic math, don't you?>

I find it interesting that TMTA has almost as large of a market cap as AMD, even though AMD is supposedly more well-positioned than Transmeta. Or maybe AMD isn't?

Mad Albert - Re: 'less than Intel's profits in the third quarter alone..you have got to be kidding take a ratio of earnings and market caps - you do have basic math, don't you?"

Why ?

AMD's cumulative profits have been paltry - especially since the three years of recent AMD losses have to be factored in.

The "Market Cap Thing" is the reward to Intel shareholders for their long term consistencey in technology, manufacturing, innovation and marketing.

AMD's Market Cap reflects their past performance - and investors opinion of AMD's future. The MuSKANK disaster and slippages in all their Gelding CPUs have contributed to this.

You are free to disagree with AMD's market cap - and you alone can assign it a more righteous value - simply by buying AMD shares for a much higher price.

In fact - I will sell you all my AMD shares for $167/share - so that you can get AMD's market cap up to a more reasonable value.

Deal?
