The company has also lit more than 10,000 miles (16,100 kilometers) of the network that will provide seamless connectivity between 50 major North American cities. 360networks recently lit two key sections of its North American network: Denver to New Orleans and Seattle to Portland. The 1,900-mile (3,050-kilometer) section between Denver and New Orleans includes Dallas, Houston and San Antonio. The route was completed ahead of schedule and will be ready for commercial service at the end of October. It will provide capacity up to 10 gigabit-per-second bandwidth. The 200-mile (320-kilometer) section between Seattle and Portland was also completed ahead of schedule and will be ready for commercial service by month end. It will also provide up to 10 gigabit-per-second capacity. In addition, the company recently completed a 72-mile (115-kilometer) network ring in Seattle. 360networks also recently lit fiber on routes from Denver to Chicago, New York to Halifax, and Seattle to Toronto. “In response to strong customer demand, we are continuing to expand our network to provide the most cost-efficient and advanced seamless, broadband services in North America and around the world,” said Dave Love, vice-president of North American network operations. “We are on budget and ahead of our announced schedule.
