One other Iowa point: It is highly unlikely, if history is any guide, that Bush could hope to make up a difference of several thousand votes there. Iowa, if various election officials in the state are to be believed, rarely sees much recount movement. M2

Not so. The Bush campaign knows that a recount isn't going to change matters much. The only counties it made any significant difference in Florida are the ones suspected of vote fraud. The vast majority of the FL counties had minor changes due to statistical quirks. The Palm vote change is a sign of fraud pure and simple. It's a 10 sigma event. Unless you suspect vote fraud in Iowa too, there is no reason to demand a vote recount. Now Wisconsin may be another matter.
