Dear Srexley: Our Secretary of state received from the county election commissions their reasons for wishing to persue a recount past the deadline. She took those reasons and with the assistance of the Law Firm of Steel, Hector et al (a very prestegious Fla. Law firm) analyzed ALL the case law to see if there were any reasons given sufficient to allow the extension. There were none. Its really as simple as that. JDN

Please share what her reasons were.
How am I supposed to know what her reasons are if she doesn't say them? That was a legal opinion with legal discresion she was issueing. It wasn't her personal feelings on the matter.

She could have wonderful personal reasons for the decision, maybe the national right to life sniper squad had a school bus full of children under threat if she didn't rule the way she did. That is still not an adequate legal reason. Her discresion in the matter is also legal and not her whim.
