I had a very good friend who was an alcoholic at a very young age...in fact, I was the one who did the intervention thing and got him into a terrific program for alcoholics...he then appeared to have recovered, then fell back on his old ways, lost contact with many of his previous friends and from what I last heard, is back with the alcohol...I have tried to make contact and it is indeed very sad for me...my point is that just because someone promises you they have or will quit, or have been through a program, this is never a guarantee.
