Thanks, Bob - I'm impressed that you remembered your "assignment" while traveling <g>.

Without rehashing stuff that's been posted on this thread before, I'll just say that, personally, I used Cold-Eeze on occasion and found that it usually seemed to shorten the duration and perhaps the intensity of colds somewhat, but the metallic taste and stomach upset made it not worth it for me. My wife didn't mind the side effects as much and found that Cold-Eeze usually helped her. Zicam, however, works tremendously well for both of us - often completely eliminating colds within 3 days, and with minor burning and/or nasal irritation being the only side effect. I have told countless people about Zicam and most of them now use it regularly.

Like you (I assume), I post under my own name. Those who know me know that I'm not a BS artist, and if Zicam didn't work for me I wouldn't have been here for the past few months (and last cold season). I think you're wise to have no position here - although I'd think you much wiser if you were long <g> - but I acknowledge that if "the long-awaited short squeeze" arrives, GUMM could become a great short play.
Thanks again for your reasoned input. -Eric

If you want to do a cost comparison consider that a bottle of Zicam should last approximately 3 colds... I think a packet of Cold Eese only one...

Other possible advantages:

As I understand it, Cold Eese, to be effective, must be used prior to nasal infection. Once the nasal passage way is closed the lozenge may no longer be effective.

The taste and other side effects of Cold Eese is a deterrent. No taste at all in Zicam.

Zicam clinically reported to be faster acting (applied directly to the point of attack of the cold) and more effective.

Zicam more effective promulgation of zinc. i.e. Smaller dosage.
