No, that's not the point. The point is that the punishment for violations of the law are calibrated to the consequences of those violations. Bush got about the punishment I would expect for what he did. He didn't kill anyone and he should not have been punished as though he did.

May I point out that the reason he was stopped by the police was that he was driving too slow?
