re: How'd you finally end up on Q?

I have 20% of my money in QCOM, at an average cost of 68. I posted those purchases the day I made them, in September and October. Yes, I did a lot of unnecessary jumping around. Crystal clear in retrospect.

Nice, that QCOM is up nicely, on a day when the semi and semi-equip sectors are getting slammed. It looks to me like we are past the bottom on QCOM, so I've stopped watching closely, and will just hold. I'm spending my time figuring out tax loss selling before year-end. Once this election thing gets settled, and once the Fed moves to a neutral bias (why are they still worried about inflation?), I think we'll have a market rally. I have a couple of losers to unload. My winners I'm holding.

OT re: Alaska-I've heard the mosquitos there can be awful. Did you find that to be the case?
