Don, regarding your note of anamolous VIX reading, also noted by John Carson on a different thread: I found this buried in one of Hahn's commentaries about the VIX. It's puzzled me:
>>We will use this index for confirmation of a low, or as
a bullish divergence indicator in the case of non-confirmation. The ideal
situation would be a somewhat lower stock market low that is not confirmed by a higher VIX reading.<< Somewhat lower stock market low not confirmed by a higher VIX reading is sort of what we had today, yes? How is it bullish, and how is it divergent? Help!

Don, Glad to see the update!

It may mean that the thick dumpling beat out the thin dumpling. I'm glad to see it!

To the political pundits: The Market has been designed to secure a Bush win for some time. What they forgot was that a ball in motion is tough to stop! It is estimated that some $3B has been spent on this election, so we are not talking about chump change.

It is moments such as this that I cringe. If the market cannot raise this puppy into option expiration, then I worry what happens next week.

Hi Donald,

I was wondering if the $compx closed near its bottom,
if there is a possibility for 3 black crows if Mon also
produces a black candle? Do the upper shadows of the candles
for 11/16 & 11/17 negate the possibility for this pattern?
You are the man when it comes to candlesticks, always appreciate your insights. I realize it might be a bit premature to consider this as todays action is far from
finished. Just wondering about the possibility. Thanks
in advance.
Regards,
Eichler
