Re: "Why does Gore want this so badly, and at all costs?"

What should Gore do? Give up when he's sure a fair count will give him victory in Florida? There are times for coming together to heal the country, and there are times when partisan politics is the rule of the day.

We're in the latter category right now.

As a registered Democrat, I expect the party and the presidential candidate to do everything in its power to win this election, especially when looks at the shameful conduct of Ms. Harris and the way the Repubs -- led by the lead Grinch -- former Sen. Alan Simpson of Wyoming -- are trash-talking on all the TV shows night after night.

Hey! Gore had to sit through years of listening to BlowJs in the Oval office, while he had to tediously call supporters for money, over and over again, in the adjoining room.

That's one horney Vice President! He figures it's going to be his turn next, while Joe is dialing for dollars in the next room.<g>

Yeah who wants to be president, no big deal.
After four years work, $100,000,000 spent and all the issues you care about at stake. No big deal. Gore should just give up and be quitter. Afterall he has no character. What made him run for president anyway? He's a loser. Oh yeah sure he's been VEEP of the most successful admninistration in our lives for 8 years but so what? Who cares? I'm pissed. He should just give up.
