Does anyone have a guess as to who Peter was referring when he said that GTI had re-acquired a big customer. You don't think he was referring to Electronics Boutique, do you? Just speculation on my part, but we all know ELBO went after Funco for the express purpose of increasing their penetration into the used game part of the business. They, of course, subsequently lost that bid to Barnes and Noble. I remember that in ELBO's last two conference calls, they mentioned a need to do a better job with used titles. Just a thought, but if Peter hasn't already made contact with EB about their distribution channel of 700 retail outlets and ebworld.com...he should.

Thanks for the post - but I think this is what I said i.e. that the PS2 will get back on to schedule by March 31/01.

BTW I received reports that Sony ran short of its own memory cards but, fortunately, (roll of drums, please) GTR was there to handle these temporary shortages with its more powerful (and less expensive) version. Also Sony could only ship 0.5m consoles to retailers by withholding a promised 150k for the Internet market.

As I stated, this extended shipping schedule helped the accessories people considerably.

I listened to a tape of GTR's CC. Very laid back but they gave out fascinating numbers on Mad Catz comparing it with their proforma numbers last year. Their market share continues to expand (up by about a fifth) and this was before the PS2 launch. Unless I have got this all wrong, their numbers should be stellar right through to at least Mar 31/01
