levy, << now in Palm Beach where they did do a one percent recount they found 19 additional votes for Gore and in that county the difference was 117000.....so if we extrapolate out gore would get about 1900 more votes if the number was 117000 >> You're missing a key factor that makes this a lot closer than you think. Yes, they did recount 1% of Palm Beach, but they chose precincts that were voting 20 to 1 for Gore. I think the breakdown was something like 4500 votes for Gore and 300 votes for Bush. This will alter your projection quite a bit. I'm guessing that it's down to a couple hundred votes, but the odds are leaning towards Gore, IMO. Dave
