Yes, Dan she lost a state senate seat by 11 votes. She asked the very same canvassing board for a manual count and was turned down. The reason given by Carol Roberts was the law only allows a manual recount for the following two reasons: (a) there is a defect in the machine or (b) there is fraud involved. Absent one of those two reasons for a manual recount Roberts declined to recount. And, I believe it was only a couple or three thousand votes. Double standard? Ethics? Partisanship? They say there are several affidavits now stating Roberts has been seen altering ballots and shuffling piles of ballots to favor Gore. Sad day in America.

Dan,

RE:"Many talking heads on TV have mentioned it. The black female Republican who lost by 13 and was denied a hand-count in Palm Beach county got a short bitching clip on air this evening, I don't remember if it was Fox or CNN"

I believe she lost by 14 votes, requested a machine count and gained 3 to 11. The the same elections board in PBC denied her a hand count. Talk about a bunch of hypocrites...
