That would be a reasonable assumption, but I doubt it, and here is why - if that is what Gore thought, he would have said that last Wednesday, a week and a half ago. Instead, he sent Daley down there to scream about how the ballot didn't comply with law, and Jesse Jackson and all the activists down there to march around with signs yelling and screaming about "the poor concentration camp survivors" who voted for "the Nazi." I don't like Buchanan, but he's not a Nazi.

So clearly, a week and a half ago, Gore thought the only way he could win was by challenging the structure of the ballot. I suspect that he was afraid that a lot of the votes for him were double punched. Now the Dems on the canvassing board have told him not to worry, the fix is in.
