O/T--My 2c on Vote---My sense is that the FSC already knows what its decision is going to be-and that they want the hand counts to be included in the certification, and that is how they are eventually going to rule. I think that they telegraphed their thinking on Thursday when they told the counties to go ahead with the hand count, even before the lower court had ruled, when they could simply have delayed responding thereby stalling PB from proceeding. I also find it significant that this afternoon, through their OWN motion (not reacting to D formal request), they blocked certification pending their furthur review next week, after the circuit court sided with the GOP. Also, that they set brief oral arguments for Monday AFTERNOON so that they can easily get into at least Tuesday afternoon to see what Broward and PB come up with before they rule. It is PB that is the big one. Now, Miami Dade has just decided to start their own hand recounts starting this evening or Sat am.----This likely means that the FSC will know before they hand down their ruling whether or not the 2-3 counties' hand recounts have swung the vote in favour of Gore. I sense that they will then rule that hand recounts must be included in the certification and -if Gore is ahead-may well also rule that the entire State immediately do hand recounts, notwithstanding that the deadline for the GOP to request same has passed. The argument will be that the Dems have already agreed to do so and so neither party objects......As long as Dec 17 deadline is met, there is no problem time wise.

OT OT OT

NY Times front page story is that voting machine manufacurers state that machines make errors, and hand counting is valid.
