Voter class action suit Dems' `ace in the hole'
by David R. Guarino

Friday, November 17, 2000

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - In case they need it to win Florida and
take the presidential election, teams of lawyers working with the Gore
campaign are quietly preparing what could become a massive class
action suit by voters confused over Palm Beach County's ballot.

Sources within Vice President Al Gore's Florida campaign team say
more than 10,000 sworn affidavits taken from voters since Election
Day could be the ``ace in the hole'' if ongoing hand recounts in key
Democratic counties are blocked.

They say thousands of voters, many minorities or senior citizens,
asking a judge for a complete revote in Palm Beach County could be
their best chance at winning the presidency.
