Actually, in order to be charged with perjury, the lie has to be material to the case. Supposing that one lied to cover an embarrassment that was not related to the matter at issue, one has not committed perjury. Therefore, unless there is some relevance to breaking wind, it is likely that a president would not be vulnerable to a perjury charge if he lied about it under oath, and therefore would not be impeachable.........

Did they lower the bar though? They TRIED to impeach Clinton- -but failed. And took a lot of flack for it. I think whoever thinks about impeachment again in similar circumstances will hesitate.
