We are all cheerleaders for our stocks. I was talking about analysts in general. I doubt many do much research or even understand simple concepts. For example, Dan Niles, he has made some pretty accurate calls on Intel and Dell. He still believes that Brocade is dead, tho. Time will tell about that.

I believe most Equity Research Analysts ain't worth anything.

The problem with Ciena taking market share from Nortel is that Ciena would have to ramp up production substantially to make any significant dent in NT market share. Last Dell Oro
report had NT increasing, not losing, market share. I will have to see the proof before I believe these prediction. I predict next Dell Oro report will show NT still gaining market share of optical. The preoccupation with optical ignores wireless. NT share of wireless is increasing substanially.
