that may very well be that desk-top demand remains sluggish for the next few quarters, and hence companies that rely heavily on the desk-top, such as amd and dell, get hurt.

If i understand correctly tony, paul, et al. intel is another matter, though. Xeon goes unchallanged, low-power pentium is forcefully there to pick up the slack from transmeta screw-up, and strong arm is making its marks in the pda biz (including compaq ipaq :-)

now Edelstone tells us gpm are under pressure because of the p4 die size, and yet all he should do is listen to Andy Briant who calls for CONSTANT costs. Does he sound like Kurlak, who systematically ignored intel's guidance and made a fool of himself ?
