JRI, RE: given the inflationary effect oil is currently having on US/world markets, having Cheney as VP (and his knowledge of oil/markets) would likely have a positive effect on traded $ price of oil. Could you elaborate? The only way I could see Cheney as VP having an effect on the price of oil & gas is if he somehow helped push legislation through that would subsidize domestic drilling. And given what most people think of his biases, I seriously doubt he would risk his image with such a move.
