"If she didn't want to go to St. Louis, why'd she get on the train?"

Although Father Emil may be a strong believer in virgin births, most of know that she probably didn't get on the train alone.

Unfortunately, too often, the person who got on with her, even bought her a ticket with promises of undying love, gets off at the first stop, heads off into the sunset, and never looks back.
If you truly believe that a 16 year old girl, driven by first love, raging hormones, and pressure from her boyfriend and then makes a terrible mistake, is a slut, there is little to be said.

Until men accept full responsibility for their own actions, and stop using terms like "slut" and "tramp" ( after placing pressure on young girls with such lovely terms of endearment as "pricktease") and can be held accountable in a truly meaningful way, I don't believe their viewpoints deserve rapt obedience.

It's like some yuppie woman at the club saying about an uneducated, untrained woman with five kids whose husband beats her, "Well, why doesn't she just LEAVE!"

As long as men like kvkkc see the situation in those terms, we will remain firmly entrenched on opposite sides of this battlefield in an "us-against-them" war, a truly sad situation because most of us want the perfect world outcome for the unborn. If this religious belief continues to be expressed in words of condemnation and hatred, it will be defeated. The rights of the unborn won;t be considered when the rights and worth of the already living are considered meaningless by one part of the equation.
