Being pro-police doesn't mean that you have to accept police that abuse their position. OTOH, you couldn't pay me enough to be a cop in DC, or any other high crime area.

I know what you mean. The majority of enforcement agencies are split between those officers who will do the job legally and correctly, and those officers who will flaunt the law for their own benefit. At a previous police department, my wife took evidence of theft by the chief of detectives to the local FBI office. He subsequently pled to embezzlement and lost his job. You can guess what my wife got.
