Hello Dennis - Actually, when I said "...its (VLNC) joint venture partner is a second source..", I did not have Hail in mind as I believe that relationship has, or will be, changed. I was thinking more along the lines of an established manufacturer - more specifically SAFT, the wholly owned subsidiary of Alcatel. After all, SAFT tried to do the Li-poly bit a year ago and failed (had they succeeded their parent (Alcatel)wouldn’t be buying VLNC’s cells for their One Touch 300, 500, and 700 top of the line cellphones).

Which reminds me, since Hanil isn’t in production, will NI have to complete that part of the that $30m contract from, I believe, Alcatel, which called for $15m to be filled by VLNC and the other $15m by Hanil?

Interesting to note that the list of Bellcore patents acquired by VLNC does not show any as having been issued in Korea.

Regards, Bigcue
