Walter, I have said this before, but it bears repeating: incorporating multiple codecs into a player is no technological feat. Any one of dozens of companies could provide this flexibility to IoMega, or they could have done it themselves.

There is, quite simply, nothing unique or novel or difficult IN THE LEAST about incorporating multiple codecs.

The only reason we have not seen more multi-codec players, IMO, is lack of demand, coupled with the need to license the multiple codecs (cost).
