Intel's Pentium 4 will be another driver for Windows2000 deployment, imo.

Intel set to introduce Pentium 4 Monday - WSJ

NEW YORK, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Chipmaker Intel Corp. (NasdaqNM:INTC - news) will
introduce its long-awaited Pentium 4 chip on Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported in its
electronic edition Friday.

Santa Clara, Calif.-based Intel has said the chip's two versions will run at 1.4 gigahertz and
1.5 gigahertz, which is faster than the 1.2 gigahertz Athlon chip from Advanced Micro
Devices Inc. (NYSE:AMD - news), currently the fastest chip on the market, the paper
reported.

Intel said it expects the Pentium 4 to reach speeds of 2 gigahertz by the third quarter of next
year, the paper said.

The Pentium 4, operating at 1.4 gigahertz, will cost about $625, and the 1.5 gigahertz version will cost about $795,
according to personal-computer makers, the paper said.

AMD's 1.2 gigahertz Athlon chip costs $612, it added.

Intel expects several PC makers, including International Business Machines Corp. IBM (NYSE:IBM - news), Compaq
Computer Corp. (NYSE:CPQ - news) and Dell Computer Corp. (NasdaqNM:DELL - news), to start selling systems with
the Pentium 4 on Monday, according to the report.
