Upside reward...I agree, that is why we had some beaten down stocks in today's watch list. Also why I held only very select shorts/puts into today's open only a few and mostly biotechs. We have to anticipate moves and I don't anticipate holding shorts over the weekend, just some strategically placed longs (option calls for DECEMBER). The short plays are for the here and now.

IMHO market knows bush will be declared winner.Market knows gore will fight to the death.. Options expiry is the only thing holding this up today.. My opinion is monday will be down hard... bush certification will do nothing for this market as it's already a given... Just listen to gores talking heads on tv.. they speak with the assumption that bush will be certified.. Christopher just said that he doesnt think bush should start the parties and declare himself winner til after fl. supreme court rules..bush victory is already a given... watch out for longs.. risk is greater than reward at this point... I have no positions now long or short...

there may not be time to pick up stocks at great prices.

Dave- your theory sounded good up until wiser heads
at the Florida Supreme Court. The Federal court's
won't touch this case. Now, it seems like Gore will get
the victory, but in either case, it will be anything but clean :-))

Who's looking presidential now?,
Al Gore's out there setting the agenda while Bush
hides out. C'mon, G.W., show us your half the man
your dad was and meet Gore to tone the rhetoric down.
It's clear one-on-one he is not even in the same league....JMHO
