why not make it what the legal defintion of life is, something like a heart beat or brainwave activity?

I am human, I can not know the answer to the question and therefore do not have an opinion. It may be in the 1st week, it may be in the 42nd and half week, it may be at birth - it is whenever the soul enters the physical body. I cannot know when that happens - maybe I will be privy to such information in the "next life." If anyone indicates that they know the answer to the question, they are fooling themselves.
