Ted,,, Re..Maybe its time you guys became ANALysts! LOL

Ted, I think you owe Petz and Goutma an apology. Isn't calling someone an analyst something like calling them a lawyer? Nice friend you are.<ggg>

Ted, and Petz,

re: < Forget the spin....its Edelstone's factual comments that affirm what you and Goutama have been saying for some time. >

I have been busy analyzing Intel's financial reports while the this thread was busy discussing about upcoming P4, benchmarks, etc. It may sound strange, but in my opinion P4 release will be a good thing for AMD.

Now, getting back to Intel financial reporting - I realized how skillful Intel has been in managing its revenues growth, and eps growth without a stellar growth in its core business. I never took time to look at other big companies that are similar in size to Intel, but I strongly believe they all do this kind of stuff.

Do you know that only 26 cents out of the 41 cents reported by Intel in Q3'00 was the actual operational earnings per share?

Another thing with companies like Intel - when their stock price reaches all time highs, they gain an additional 2 to 3 cents of earnings per share. I will post more details later after I complete compiling of some more info on Intel's financial tricks.

Following is the data that I compiled on Intel's capital. It consists of four relational tables. The second table depicts the valuations of their holdings as of Nov 10, with respect to Sept 29,00. I checked the prices of the most of the Intel Capital stocks today, and I believe their valuations have gone down even further by another 10-15% since Nov 10.

The data shown below contains close to 90% of publicly traded companies that are part of Intel Capital.
