"capital gains are recurring only when they are positive. All of the losses are one time charges :-))"

It does appear so...In any event, Y2001 is shaping up as a struggle for INTC...capital gains will no doubt diminish, the state of the PWeeiii state resembles one of rapid decline as entry level is raised to 1 gig, and P4, if Monday's pricing is an indicator, is being run as a loss leader...The INTC PR machine will have to earn its keep in Y2001 to deflect analysts from the currently bleak outlook of declining PWeeiii margins and escalating introductory costs associated with the P4, not to mention the potentially astronomical losses associated with the very real possibility that the P4 never does capture any meaningful marketshare as, so far, it doesn't seem to compete well at all on a price/performance basis...Dell subsidies will be huge!!!
