Maybe that's the solution, just go back to 4.7. Or shoot my computer.

I deleted Netscape 6, and used AOL powered by IE to go to the Netscape website, but all they had available for download was 6. So I fished through my old CD roms and found a version of 4.05, which works like a champ.

The thing that makes me most angry about new browsers and other new software is that they stealthily install apps which will communicate with their own websites without your permission, so they can try to get you to upgrade. I think that's trespassing, but then, I never read the license agreements, I just click "accept." -g-

Whenever I install new software, I always use the "custom" feature, and carefully review what they are trying to get me to install. Invariably they are trying to foist on me something I don't want like Instant Messenger or Net2Phone.

I just figured out that Intuit automatically installs features that communicate with their site.
