Dear Long-gone: THAT IS EXACTLY TRUE, in fact its even worse, by removing them as road as calling it wilderness the Clinton administration has removed from ANY VEHICULAR TRAFFIC vast areas of what has been 4 wheel drive recreation areas. Those that know me on other thread know that I am a Jeep Person. I own 3 jeeps and I participate in Jeep Jamborees around the country. I also am a member of Tread Lightly, our Motto is leave only footprints behind. The Jeep Jamboree program is sponsored by Jeep Corporation and is EXTREMELY careful not to damage the terrain we traverse. We are now having more and more difficulty finding trails on Public Land. Those of you who live out West know, as I do, that there truly are very few REAL ROADs as Easterners would imagin. In Arizona for instance its my experience that even the state highways are often only gravel. When you get into areas like Utah, New Mexico and the like its even worse. I love it that way but Clinton would like to isolate these people even more then they already are by closing out many means of moving about. JDN
