Srinivas Polisetty, president and CEO of Mahadev.com said, "The project will be similar in application to the recently-commissioned DWCRA (Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas) project in Andhra Pradesh." The project is part of the Mexican government initiative under which about $800 million has been set aside for e-governance. Mahadev.com recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Mexican government to provide e-governance systems. The company is also developing systems for Bahrain's Computer Statistics Organization. According to Polisetty, the State Government initiative to empower 16 million rural artisans and their families will get a boost with the recently commissioned e-commerce facility as they get to market their products across the globe. "The DWCRA Bazaar e-project, a major marketplace, is aimed at facilitating rural artisans sell their articles online and thereby marketing products globally. In its full implementation, the Dwcra.org e-governance marketplace will serve about 60 million rural artisans." Polisetty said that Mahadev.com's technology is ideal for e-governance projects as it integrates various legacy systems seamlessly. The DWCRA online project is powered by Mahadev's IEM system (Internet-based extended-enterprise management systems), a network connecting the district groups in the state, logistics partners, quality assurance organizations, government agencies, financial and banking partners, with the central and state governments at the back end and the global market base on the front end. He said the system's Internet-based extended enterprise system and its technology applications are not limited to e-business, e-banking, e-healthcare, e-security and e-governance.
