You apparently had heard the 3% figue as well, as I did not mention it. If you say that is not the policy, I will take your word for it. The various media are so biased in what and how they report.

The fact is that MOST conceptions are spontaneously aborted for various reasons

You are correct, but I think you realize I was speaking about abortion when it is not a natural act. Let's not argue about what is natural, (please)! That would take forever, and perhaps nearly as long as the U.S. election!

the Universe cries out for life.

What I mean is that evolution appears to have the goal of perpetuating life. Also, in the real world, civilized people have placed an extremely high value on human life, not only instinctively, but as a learned value.

This was not an argument against abortion, but merely some poetic license, if I may be allowed. As my previous post implies: I think abortion on the whole reflects something about the quality of society we create. I don't think it should ever be trivialized, and I think sound education and birth control are far more respectable and less harmful alternatives. If the church would swing its full weight behind education and birth control, and would stop demonizing sex as if it were an immoral act--abortion (which often has a severe impact on the mother) would decrease, and our society could be more stable and kind. It is always more sensible to prevent a problem than to engage in divisive and intrusive solutions. Why have a triple by-pass if you can cut down on fat? More poetic license. Thanks. ;)
