Yogi,
Quite a possibility: War, political uncertainty and economic upheaval

AEM ran a pretty good tape today, excluding the mandatory kick in the ba*ls at the end of day, on good volume. Relative to the rest of the XAU it was even better!
AEM finished up .15 in Toronto which was up about an eighth over the US price, but on fairly light volume.

I had to sell some AEM shares last week to make more room in the port for TESOF. You and Robert can thank me later, its been going up ever since, LOL. Don't feel bad for me though, I have large holdings in both AEM and TESOF.

Funny that I end up with my two largest positions in two Canadian companies.

US investors were not interested in selling TESOF at anything less than 8 7/8 on another very light volume day.
Toronto ended down at 13.5 which is about 20cents US off the US price. Small traders were doing profit taking in the morning in Toronto in the morning (avg share sales @ 800)and taking the price down there, but some big buying came in later in the day at those lower prices.

A couple of energy notes, man on the street stuff. Went into a Four Seasons store. They sell fireplaces and stoves and I've been thinking about replacing our fireplace insert which has served us so well (and provided many pleasant winter evenings by the firelight) for many years, but is just getting worn out. Nearly everything was LP/Natural Gas. No wood stoves, no fireplace coal or wood inserts.
That's all too much work these days I suppose. Just hit the switch and burn some of that cheap (Used to BE CHEAP) gas.
Judging from folks at work, only a few diehards (c'est moi, ggg) burn wood anymore.

While traffic at the Malls is down on weeknights (but not on weekends!) the traffic on the roads here in our locale is not down any. Higher prices for gas and diesel are being ignored and I hardly hear anyone complaining about the prices anymore. It certainly hasn't led to any reduced driving, especially by all those gray haired little old ladies who keep getting in front of me!

Conservation is SO old fashioned!

Best Regards,

Roebear

Nice move for AEM Friday, WHY. ????

should be a fun week coming up, DBLE earning and AEM.

Weekend End Gossip, AWESOME stuff, if true.

Le Metropole Members,

As you know, Midas du Metropole has long been calling
for Nasdaq 2000 before Nasdaq 4000. The next Nasdaq
leg down will continue to put the pressure on the
bullion banks in the Gold Cartel.

Capital is disappearing and serious credit concerns
are growing by the day.

In the last Midas, I pointed out that mega hedge
fund Moore Capital was the early buyer on Thursday.
We reported that could be significant because Cafe
sources informed us that they were short up to 25
million ounces of gold at one point and have made
a fortune on the "gold carry trade."

It is also important because other Cafe sources
revealed to us that Moore Capital was the hedge fund
involved in buying prior to the concerted central
bank euro intervention weeks ago and then were
instrumental in capping the euro advance at 90 as
a result of their receiving inside information
from Citibank/Robert Rubin.

We advised we would be on the lookout for any
additional Moore Capital buying.

Indeed, Moore Capital returned to the Comex pits
on Friday and aggressively bought the gold close.

This may, or may not be important, but we know from
the Frankfurter Algemeine Zeitung story that they
are plugged in with the right people and have access
to information coming out of Washington.

Is there buying telegraphing a big rally in the gold
price?

As stated in CARTEL CAPITULATION WATCH commentary,
it is my opinon that the Gold Cartel is in big
trouble as the price of oil is about to soar just
as the Nasdaq is going to crater further.

Someone closely aligned with the Gold Cabal called
yet another Cafe source asking about whether the low
prices was starting to really cut into future gold
production. This individual asked many questions.

That is the reason for serving Christopher Byron's
"Big Dreamlife Investors Are About to Be Awoken"
Bloomberg story at The Dos Passos Table.

It is my guess we will be soon reading about all
kinds of internet stock disasters and that could
really hurt the future performance of the Nasdaq.

"Dreamlife’s marquee bait: Tony Robbins, the cable-TV infomercial guy with the mule-like teeth and the
prehensile chin, who talks about how he started
out storing dishes in a bathtub and is now so rich
he owns his own island."

"Unfortunately, a recent regulatory filing by
Dreamlife with the Securities and Exchange Commission
suggests the jig’s about up for Dreamlife and its
investors, and that the company may well be out of
business before the Christmas tree is lighted in
Rockefeller Center … meaning, I suppose, that the
endless search for prey on the Wall Street Serengeti
may soon be driving us back to the salt licks of Ron
(“The Finagle King”) Perelman and his ilk."

Some rag paper is saying a major bank is going to go down, and cause a major crash in Dow.

hope not.
