re-go to Costa Rica
Privatized Social Security- this is only partially
true.
They have elected Libertarians to nationwide elections-
not true. The confusion that you have is that Costa
Rica has basically a two party system, like the US.
One party is Liberacion Nacional (the Liberationists)
and the other the Unidad Nacional. The Liberacionistas
are social democrats, much like the democratic party in the
US. The Unidad are Christian Democrats, more akin to your
Republican Party. THE VIEWS OF LIBERACION NACIONAL are
center-left, certainly nothing to do with the Liberationist
party in the US. Their platform is based on the Skandinavian socialist "craddle to grave" government
interventionist system. Hell, this year they blocked
plans for the privatization of the electric and tele-
comunications company.
