I think, Dave, that Intel has been waiting to put your "modified PIII price-war plan" into effect for months. If they can produce the P4 in quantity and manage the ASP aggesively (as some of the reports seem to indicate they intend to), they can take a real bite out of AMD. If the benchmarks hold up as strong as they seem early, and AMD can't get a quality chipset to market......Intel could really lock up the high end then try to get its feet back under it in the mid-levels. Should be fun in the months ahead.
