I am guessing that Sprint and Verizon will go ahead and convert to CDMA2000. If the other providers even in Europe do not keep pace with there WCDMA conversions it will be real proof that the GSM to WCDMA path has more obsticals to 3G. Now there are currently other countries with far less mature 2G systems. China for example. The economic troubles of European firms to purchase spectrum and pursue buildouts could be fuel for a Q type FUD that may put more weight into the Q's CDMA - CDMA2000 especially in data services.
