Are you implying that P4 has lousy performance on 32-bit apps?> No. I'm implying that Pentium 4 will eventually have more and more applications optimized for it, just like the P6 core had more and more applications optimized for it over time. But then again, I guess if you want to cater to programmers who fear turning on compiler optimizations, Athlon will be your best bet. Of course, that would make for a lousy marketing message, "Compiler optimizations are bad! Buy the Athlon!" Tenchusatsu
