My questions:
Ok, Ted, I'll bite. re: <s it coincidence that the greatest percentage of miscounted Gore votes (of the total miscounted votes in a county) were in counties that went to Bush?>>>

There were votes either not counted or were counted for the opposing candidate on November 7th, that were located during the recount. I found that that in most cases where the missing Gore votes made up a relatively high percentage of the total votes cast in a particular county, that county usually had gone for Bush. I got my info from CNN.com.

My questions:
What is a 'Miscounted Vote'? -- A bum chad drop? A multiple hole punch with one of them in the 'gore' area? Please tell me what you call a 'Miscounted Vote'.

I explained that above...it was the first recount where they still used the machines to count, not the hand counters. At that point, I don't believe there was an issue wrt chads.

Gore Highest % miscounted in Bushland? Give me the counties, or a site where I can get the data & I'll have a look. 'till then, it doesn't sound unlikely. The lower the percentage of the vote in a territory, the higher the likely percentage of error of total error in that area, if there is an error. (HUH?) Where you find Mins. in something you are likely to find other Mins or Maxes. It's the way things work in a smooth world.

My point was that percentage wise, there was a greater probability of miscounted Gore votes in a county than went for Bush than for Gore during the first recount. I am afraid I can not make it any clearer than that. That was my take after looking at the data available at CNN.com.
