I whole-heartedly endorse that sentiment.

Carolyn, don't discuss it. Your choice is respected.

If the Republican party makes one move to overturn Roe vs Wade it will be the end of the Republican Party. They know that and are not that stupid. Partial birth abortion is another issue and the majority of Americans both Democrat and Republican find it repulsive.
However the issue has cost the Republicans dearly in that just that cloud lingering over them has driven people who agree with the idea of less government in their lives to vote Democrat on that very issue alone.
The party that will be fiscally responsible and stay the hell out of everyone's lives (both PC and ABORTION) will win the American public. It is a winning formula.

<< Why is there a need to discuss abortion on this thread? >>

It is a hot political issue, that the Republicans sneakily avoided during the campaign.

Perhaps, one of the reasons that Jeb Bush couldn't carry Flordia for brother Bush Junior, is that the first thing he did after becoming Governor, was to allow a controversial license plate "Chose Life", while the issue was still in the courts.

The majority of Americans want abortion to be safe, legal, available, inexpensive and rare. If the Republican Party succeeds in overturning Row vs Wade, they could witness a huge voter backlash.
