FL Supremes are final arbiters of FL state law, so long as it meets US Constitutional equal protection and due process muster. Federal courts should always (hmm) try to stay out of state matters and let the state act first. If and when it clearly becomes a federal issue after state issues are resolved, federal courts are more likely to act. The 11th Circuit tonight views it still as a FL state matter, since FL Supremes haven't decided yet, and state law might resolve it -- but said ya'll can come on back of FL doesn't do it right.

Hello, About the election: The FL Supreme Court cannot make laws only interrupt it supposedly. Lower court ruled Harris is in her right to exclude the manually counted votes. So far FL SC has not over ruled her on allowing the manually counted ballots, just stopped her from certifying the vote with the absentee ballots. There is a problem with forcing her to accept the manually counted ballots. FL requires a manual recount when there is fraud or machine malfunction. So far nothing has been presented on either of those issues. PB, 2 years ago in an election refused, to do a manual recount when the republican candidate lost by 11 votes. Again, there was no proof of fraud or machine malfunction, so nothing could be done. If FL SC says she has to accept manually counted votes, then to some extent it is saying the FL law is invalid. If FL voter law is invalid, then there is no election. I believe the legislative has to order a new election after a new law is passed. Next the federal appeals court could rule that GB was denied equal protection under the law, by the democrats only recounting democratic wards. At this point, the federal rule would come into play. What would happen here I have no idea. There is one other possibility, Gore could end up winning the election but the House of Representative can refuse to accept his certification from FL and remove it from him. At this point it is up to the house to vote on president. This happened in 1888 election with Rutherford B. Hayes. The house voted for RBH and he became president. I believe the FL SC wants to see how the absentee ballots end up and will try to mediate some kind deal. I believe if Gore gets in, there will be an immediate independent prosecutor investigation and this is where voter fraud information will turn up. His presidency will be tied up for his term and nothing will be accomplished. Anyone feel free to respond and help out here. IMHO Thank You, JK PS. I think Gore will win and steal the election from the American people! He will be the biggest hypocrite as he takes the oath of office for the presidency in the history of the United States. We can put him right along side of OJ SIMPSON.
