Used to be that the democrats chose to defend the will of the people - now Gore is claiming the rule of law as part of his crusade.

He is morphing and assimilating the Republican perspective. This is one of Bill Clinton's brilliant techniques (I mean this with respect for BC's talent)

At best this will be a zero-sum election. Probably we will be in for a net loss for the next 4 years if either one wins. I would still put money on GWB to forge common ground over "Big Al The Divider"

Regards,
Jim

We might as well shut up about it as we cancel each other out.

Cancel each other out? ROTFLMAO!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Bush trying to steel christmas?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! By calling for recounts? No, wait that
was Gore. By constantly appealing to the courts to get
his way? No wait, that was Gore. By have the ballots stuffed. No, that was democrats. By keeping quiet, staying
at home and keeping to the same attitude of "let the votes decide the winner"? That's steeling. I guess George Washington stole the first election then. HAHAHA! You democrats and your looney tune definitions! Why didn't Gore choose Charles Manson for VP? Manson would compliment
Gore's crazy lust for power. LOL!

Why hasn't Gore threatened to hold his breath until he gets his way, like most spoiled little immature snot lockers do.
He must be saving this brillant strategy as a last resort.
"Give me the Presidency, I want the Presidency, boo hoo hoo! you big meanies! boo hoo hoo." Is Gore a man or a diaper wearing baby!?!

"Cancel each other out" Now see, that's the rub about this whole recount fiasco. All across the country there are thousands of ballots that are thrown out due to irregularities, such as those we see in Florida. As a matter of statistical probability, they "cancel each other out", as far as democrat vs. Republican votes. Why do some think that it is somehow "fair" to allow a very small pocket of democratic voters to have their votes determine an election of such import?

Regardless of one's thoughts on whether the recount procedure will have any integrity or not, the very idea of utilizing such a select group of voters goes against all the ideals and standards that this great country represents.

<< CNN just made the point that both sides will blame the other equally for "stealing" the election ... >>

Ah, but while everyone is playing the blame game, Gore will be lighting up a victory cigar in the Oval Office.

The absentee ballots are not pouring in for Bush, as he had planned. Of course, who can associate "planning" with Bush? <g>
