IMO, they should act within the capacity of their assigned duties. No more, no less. If they step beyond that line, there are means to redress the problems. If each person with active participation in the election reclused themselves, who would be left to make the appropriate decision? At what point is the line of recusal drawn? Who will decide this? How many levels down could it go to find a genuine unpartial staffer? Would this person have the authority or competency necessary to make an executive level decision? Could their decision be cause to remand the course of action recommended due to any number of problems including laws of the state? Me thinks Pandora's box could be pried open going this route too Dr. Id. Ö¿Ö
