Washington has a pretty squared away honest system from my perspective. In my county, you pen in the arrow on the ballot. Much less chance of corruption if you ask me. Also, the voting areas are quiet, orderly, and respectful places.

Nothing like what I've seen in other areas of the county on T.V.

In other words, I doubt much fraud takes place.

But of course you never know.

To answer your question. Yes, both a Republican and Democrat work side by side in the absentee counting room. At least from what I've seen on T.V.
