Funny you should refer to Jefferson. His election was one of the messiest in the nation's history. Having received a bare plurality of popular votes, and probably fewer than Aaron Burr, he managed a tie with Burr in the Electoral College. It took 30 separate ballots in the House of Representatives for Jefferson to emerge as the president-elect.

Which brings me to my next point in the following post ....

Your questions deserve an answer, but not tonight. I think I will sit back and enjoy the wine.

Since I am from California, I will take a glass of Zinfandel. Not that crappy rose sh...stuff, but a big, full bodied red, hopefully with a hint of raspberries or chocolate.
