A.S.- Hmm, so you think even after being turned down
in a "sympathic" Federal Court today, the Supreme
Court will intervene on this State matter?

The facts unfolding portend a Gore win, as he will
overshadow Bush in the popular count, and the Florida
Supreme court will mandate "what's her name" to
honor the peoples will. On what basis of legal fact do
you think the Supreme Court will hear this?

Face it, Al Gore is molding the agenda now, in public,
and looking Presidential while Bush is hiding. The
only reason G.W. wouldn't meet Gore face-to-face is
the obvious superiority of mind and spirit Gore has.

<< Why doesn't that lousy Gore just concede and give it to GW? >>

He will give it to GW. Gore has already offered Bush junior an embassy position in Iraq. Bush Junior accepted it, after Gore told him that it was somewhere near France.<g>

<< ... GOP is really looking forward to going to the Supreme Court in Washington ... >>

If the Florida Supreme Court allows the recounted ballots, and Gore wins, I can't see the U.S. Supreme Court overturning the decision. That would be a political move, and the court is mostly apolitical.

<< I'll bet they also wish like hell they'd put in recounting requests of their own a last Thursday. >>

That makes Gore look pretty good. The Democrat strategy, in the face of certain defeat, is impressive. The GOP looks clumsy and confused.

<< Though frankly I'm getting sick and tired of the whole thing. >>

This is just step one. If Gore gets in, the right wing will attempt to throw all kinds of civil suits against him, and entrap him similar to their attack against Clinton.
