Certainly an amazing disconnect on the surface. Although they hedge and also pass on higher costs in pricing, at some point higher energy inputs have to absolutely devastate their margins. Not to mention that an energy price spike-induced recession should not be exactly bullish for airlines, rails, or truckers....

Do you have any insight or explanation?

I suppose it could be tape painting since TRAN is thought to be a leading indicator by DOW technicians. But it seems like an expensive exercise to impress the two or three DOW theory analysts still out there.
