Eric,

<<, its MPEG-2 decoder probably did>>

Wishful thinking. I'd go into more detail but your pals on the BRoadCruM thread blew it for you guys. You'll have to fend for yourselves.

<<I hope that you don't bring up any of the generic, run-of-the-mill valuation issues that I've seen a dozen times before. Here's a hint: looking at forward P/Es as well helps when dealing with companies growing sales and earnings at a 100%+ clip>>

I don't have to go into it either...the fall in the stock proves it. The market PRCIE is telling you ASP's coming down, competition on many fronts, and the musical chairs game using the stock as currency are all coming to a head, oppps! the music just stopped, find a seat quick.

btw...Ray is on the right track:

thanks for the post about BRCM Eric J

I got more out of those few paragraphs then I have from the Broadcom thread on SI in 2 years. I do not know why I bother over there as the technical merits of the company are not discussed, only trading BS from people such as FredE.

If you would be so kind to embellish a little further, is there a unifying theme behind their technology? Gilder has spoken about them utilizing CMOS but I do not have a hat to hang on their technology prowess such as CDMA with QCOM

regards

Voop
